Employee Relations, Investigator
- Plan, conduct, and document detailed and unbiased investigations into employee complaints and allegations. Gather relevant information, interview involved parties, and review pertinent documents and records.
- Ensure investigations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies. Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all investigations and employee relations matters. Ensure documentation is complete, secure, and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent and fair handling of employee relations matters. Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on policy-related issues.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for resolution. Present findings to senior management and other stakeholders as needed.
- As needed, assist with training on employee relations topics, including workplace harassment, discrimination, and conflict resolution. Educate employees and managers on policies and procedures to prevent future issues.
- At least 7 years of relevant overall experience
- At least 5 years of Employee Relations Investigations experience
- Willingness to travel up to 10% (including plane travel)
- 5-10 years of Employee Relations experience
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple investigations simultaneously
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Master’s degree preferred
