Pay: Salary commensurate with experience

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to support general maintenance and fabrication needs within our greenhouse facility. While the role includes various facility upkeep tasks, the primary focus is on welding and metal fabrication to maintain and improve greenhouse infrastructure and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding to repair and fabricate greenhouse components such as carts, benches, frames, and structural supports.
• Fabricate and modify equipment, tools, and fixtures to support daily greenhouse operations.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on welded structures and greenhouse systems.
• Assist in general facility maintenance including basic plumbing, ventilation, irrigation repairs, and mechanical system upkeep.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to complete welding tasks accurately.
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, forklifts, and other power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure all welding work meets safety, structural, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Other duties as assigned by manger

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical welding certification preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in welding (MIG, TIG, stick); fabrication experience highly preferred.
• Experience in a greenhouse, agricultural, or industrial environment is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions.
• Mechanical skills and general maintenance experience a strong plus.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work at heights, and operate in changing temperatures and conditions.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift certification preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
