Job Summary

The Project Assistant role offers an exciting opportunity to support dynamic project teams by tracking, analyzing, and coordinating key project activities using modern project and construction management tools. Ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, this position emphasizes collaboration, clear communication, and meaningful contributions to project success and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with engineering teams and leadership while gaining hands-on experience in reporting, scheduling, and process innovation.

Job Description

• Proactively and regularly communicate with (but not limited to) the project team, client representatives, vendors, suppliers and subcontractors on project development and execution.
• Assist with identifying, entering, monitoring, and analyzing the progress of key project needs, deliverables and milestones for the project team using internal software, and support the presentation of monthly progress reports covering action items and progress updates.
• Assist with entering project scheduling information.
• Assist with monitoring submittal log and RFIs in construction management software and expediting responses for subcontractors from the internal design team.
• Assist with organizing a file management system to properly monitor project progress.
• Assist with creating new projects using construction management software and provide daily reports and other workflows to be assigned to project and management leadership.
• Coordinate the required training programs and records for project personnel in conjunction with the corporate training department and project requirements to ensure compliance.
• Resolves questions regarding the project; research and provide appropriate answers.
• Coordinates between engineering teams to assemble client based studies and reports and ensures all deliverables are assembled, reviewed, and delivered per the schedule.
• Identifies Project and Department related opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
• Assists with Business Line Leadership, Department Managers, and Project Managers with identifying and executing opportunities to expand the role.

Skills Required

• Strong analytics background are preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required.
• PowerBI Experience and Excel experience are major pluses.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Degree plus a minimum of 3 yrs relevant experience.
• Associates plus a minimum of 2 yrs relevant experience.
• Bachelors plus some relevant experience.
