Senior Consultant, Healthcare Strategy (Chicago)

Armitage Advisors
Chicago, IL

Your Day to Day:

It starts with a passion for solving the increasingly complex challenges facing our clients in the business of healthcare.

You will partner closely with our team and clients across the industry (payors, providers, specialty health, investors) to deliver on and amplify their mission.

As a boutique firm, we come to work every day on a mission to make healthcare work better and are seeking professionals to join us in this pursuit.

You will be energized by the ability to help build our firm together. We invest in our team and commit to each member's unique development roadmap.

Ready to join a fast, high performing team where your work is rewarded, recognized, and respected? Apply today.

What You'll Do:

  • Work in a hands-on and collaborative environment both internally and across all levels within our client partners
  • Be able to operate independently to drive progress in your areas of responsibility, as needed
  • Act as the day-to-day resource for clients throughout the engagement by facilitating and leading portions of client meetings, depending on project needs
  • Focus on project execution across a variety of complex healthcare topics, participating and owning aspects of the discovery, design, and delivery of engagement work products
  • Effectively communicate conclusions directly to clients through the creation of succinct and impactful deliverables
  • Opportunity to lead and supervise small project teams, providing direction and coaching
  • Support Management in engagement work planning and administrative activities
  • Display intellectual curiosity and eagerness to continually evolve your healthcare industry knowledge
  • Actively contribute to the growth and evolution of Armitage

Who You Are:

  • Team player with grit, integrity, and a strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years working in a team-based role (e.g., management consulting, finance, healthcare-focused organizations). Prior healthcare experience is a plus
  • Have a strong service mindset and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Take pride in enabling the best work of others on the team
  • Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems
  • Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience working and presenting to senior business leaders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Desire to mentor and be mentored (both formally and informally)
  • Ability and interest to travel, up to 25% annually

What We Offer:

  • A reasonable pay scale for this role is $105,000-$180,000. The pay scale for this role reflects a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Armitage, it is not typical for an employee, at any level, to be hired at or near the top of the salary range, as compensation decisions are dependent on the factors listed above.
  • In addition to a competitive base salary and bonus structure, Armitage offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, parental leave, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.
