Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bicycle Mechanic to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in bike repair and maintenance in a bike shop environment, with a strong background in working on both electric and non-electric bikes. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers’ bikes are in top condition, providing exceptional service and expertise in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive bike repairs and maintenance, including but not limited to: hydraulic disc brakes, suspension systems, internal gear hubs, fully-enclosed chain cases, and Brompton folding bikes.
• Building bikes and installing accessories.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with a variety of bike models and components.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns and offering knowledgeable advice on bike care and maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with a team of bike enthusiasts to maintain a positive and efficient shop environment.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy shop setting.
• Documenting all work performed in our point-of-sale (Lightspeed) to maintain thorough service records for all customers.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workbench.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bicycle mechanic.
• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining electric and non-electric bikes, including hydraulic disc brakes, suspension systems, internal gear hubs, fully enclosed chain cases, and Brompton folding bikes.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours as needed.
