Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)
• Location: Gallatin, Tennessee (37066) – Near Nashville
• Healthcare Setting: Level III Trauma Center, 167-bed hospital
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/as needed
• Float Requirement: Float to similar med/surg units as needed
• Orientation: Weekly, starting Mondays
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIHSS (must be current prior to start)
• Proficient IV insertion skills
• Ability to pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check
• Willingness to float to similar med/surg units
• Experience with Meditech EHR preferred

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to diverse age groups
• Monitor and assess patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Perform IV insertions and administer medications using Omnicell dispensing system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care in Meditech EHR
• Float to similar med/surg units as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (scrub color: any; no casual wear)
