Assistant Payroll Manager
Department: PAYROLL OFFICE
Locations: Macomb, IL RESPONSIBILITIES: This position reports to the Payroll Manager and is to direct the daily work of the WIU payroll processes. This position plays an active role in the processing of payroll and the supervision of payroll staff. The operation of a payroll office involves the preparation, distribution, maintenance, and analysis of payroll and tax records by using automated information systems and following university policies and regulations. Employees are responsible for ensuring that all federal and state laws regarding pay and payroll-related taxes are complied with. WORK LOCATION: Macomb campus APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible HOURLY WAGE: $21.77-$23.94 (Anticipated starting salary of $21.77) Western Illinois University employees may be eligible for a variety of State of Illinois benefits. - Any one or any combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
