About the Role

The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation and review of individual and business tax returns, manage junior preparers, and serve as the primary client contact throughout the tax process. This individual will work closely with our Tax Compliance Partner and other teams to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely service.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, 1041).
• Collect tax documentation from clients (W-2s, financial statements, etc.).
• Input and review data in Lacerte tax software.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding filing status and required documentation.
• Oversee and mentor junior tax preparers, providing support and review of their work.
• Serve as the relationship manager throughout the return process.
• Build strong client relationships to promote retention and growth.
• Maintain organized files and manage multiple clients simultaneously.

• 5–7 years of experience in tax return preparation and review.
• Strong knowledge of a broad range of tax return types.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with Lacerte (preferred).
• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• EA required ; CPA or JD (with license to practice law) is a plus.
• Experience managing at least one direct report.
