School Social Worker - Romeoville, IL - $50/hour

Position Overview

The School Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide social work services and contributes to the development and implementation of Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role supports students requiring social, emotional, and behavioral intervention within the school setting.

Assignment Details

Location: Romeoville, IL

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 05/22/2026

Duration: 20-week assignment

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Pay Rate: $50/hour

Setting: School-based

Modality: In-person

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student social-emotional needs

Provide social work services to students requiring intervention and support

Contribute to the development and implementation of IHPs and IEPs

Support a caseload of approximately 30 students across specialized education programs

Participate in meetings, documentation, and progress monitoring as required

Maintain compliance with professional standards and school-based regulations

Minimum Requirements

Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract, or facility

May be required to hold an MSW or LCSW per state, contract, or facility requirements

Prior experience working as a School Social Worker preferred

Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

CPR certification (if applicable)

TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
