Purchasing Manager

Our well-established precision metal stamping and manufacturing company is seeking a Purchasing Manager in the Greater Chicago area to support the Production department with good quality materials and to develop and contact suppliers on behalf of company for other matters relating to suppliers and supplier payments. - 100-120K annual salary + bonus

- Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM

Requirements:

- Associate degree (or higher) with 10+ years of purchasing experience, including 5+ years in a manufacturing environment

- 5+ years of experience working with suppliers, including sourcing, quoting, and order management

- 3+ years of experience supporting production schedules and managing material flow in a manufacturing setting

- 3+ years of experience using ERP systems and standard business tools (Excel, reporting, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage purchasing of raw materials, components, and outside services to support production needs

- Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and expedite deliveries as required

- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing

- Review production schedules and forecasts to ensure material availability aligns with demand

- Collaborate with internal teams to support material planning, cost control, and process improvements
