Overview

GCG Custom Engineered Solutions (CES) ( is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their tight knit team.

In this role, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors accurately and efficiently.

For this role, we are excited to offer a remote work opportunity. However, candidates should be within a reasonable commuting distance of our Chicago office at 8550 W. Bryn Mawr STE 400, Chicago, Illinois 60631.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

What You'll Do

• Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements; this includes updating PO pricing for price variances
• Process inventory invoices in accordance with the PO verification process, regardless of payment method
• Process vendor credits and material returns, understanding the impacts of these transactions
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting vendors
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
• Understand expense accounts and cost centers
• Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable preferred
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Understanding of expense accounts, cost centers, basic bookkeeping, and accounts payable principles
• Understanding compliance issues around processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge with ERP systems
• Experience using an automated AP software system, such as Nimbello
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
