Activity Activities Aide PM shift

When youre a patient games music and engagement can be the highlight of your day. At Bourbonnais Terrace we know that emotional well-being is just as important as clinical care and thats where you come in.

Were seeking an Activity Aide to engage residents in a therapeutic program in our behavioral health facility. This is not a therapists position but you will help residents with life enrichment and entertainment to help keep them engaged in their recovery programs while they are with us. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in sports culture music and traditional recreational activities to help bring joy structure and stimulation to those in our care.

What Youll Do

Lead engaging daily activities ranging from fitness and games to music and arts
Create stimulating cognitive and memory retention events for long-term residents
Contribute to programs that keep short-term patients motivated and engaged
Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (EMR system)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to individualize programming

Qualifications :

Activity / Activities Aide

What we need from you:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year experience working with the elderly and the physically and/or mentally impaired in an Activity Department or an equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.
• Valid Drivers License and must be 25 years old or older.

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT.  We currently provide comprehensive management services to several inpatient healthcare centers throughout Northern IL & the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs) Short-term Care Rehabilitation Intermediate Care (ICFs) and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
