Position Description:
This position is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally across Sales, Finance, and Operations to generate an accurate facility-level forecast to achieve Supply Chain Optimization and an account-level forecast for our financial planning systems. This is accomplished by leveraging data and statistical models to guide the decision-making process. Candidates should be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent communication skills to succeed in this role.


Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate sales demand forecasting for a rolling 20 weeks using demand planning software, which will drive the supply chain activities for the organization.
Gain alignment with cross-functional leadership (sales and finance) to generate accurate BU forecasts at the account level and enable gap closure discussions.
Analyze volume estimates to facilitate extensive discussions with the Field Finance and Sales team to drive accurate quarter-out planning.
Analyze the relationship between promotional activities, new product introductions, and seasonal impact on product demand to achieve an accurate forecast. Collaborate with the Region Product Supply Manager to develop these forecasts.
Analyzing demand forecast accuracy
Interact extensively with in-market Sales and Finance teams, plant operations personnel, and region leadership teams.
Communicate with Product Supply, Distribution Centers, and Plant leads to discuss forecast trends and opportunities to meet performance targets.
Present professional insights and recommendations in support of strategic planning discussions
Support IBP (Demand Planning) initiatives and transition.


Minimum Job Requirements
Proficient computer skills: MS Office, Business Objects, analytical business statistics coursework, or significant experience with spreadsheet analysis
Ability to interact with various levels in Sales, Finance, and Operations
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, organize and coordinate work
Familiarity with the impact of sales initiatives


Preferred Job Requirements
Bachelor s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
3+ years experience in product forecasting or related field, strongly preferred
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet critical deadline requirements with current workload, plus handle special projects (as needed)
Experience in SAP APO demand planning tools
