Position Title: Grounds Crew ( Seasonal )

Reports To: Associate Director of Grounds and Custodial Services

Range: starting at $16.25/hr (non-exempt)

Our 36-acre park is home to North America’s longest-running outdoor music festival and its most artistically diverse. Over 100 different events, featuring a mix of classical, rock, pop, jazz, R&B, indie, and country performers, make up a typical summer season across our open-air and indoor stages, including the annual residency of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Position Summary:

Our beautiful, welcoming park is what makes listening to music at Ravinia truly special. Our park is our pride, and keeping it clean and beautiful is essential to our success. We are seeking seasonal Grounds Crew members to join us for the 2026 summer season July - September.

The Grounds Crew is the team responsible for the landscaping and cleanliness of the park. Every time someone compliments the park, it’s thanks to the Grounds Crew. Typical work hours are 7:00AM – 3:30 PM, and weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily waste hauling

• Custodial and landscaping duties

• General upkeep of the grounds and building exteriors

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds

• Must work outside in all weather conditions

• Availability that includes weekends

• Landscaping or grounds experience a plus

• All Ravinia employees must be at least 16 years of age

• Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced, entertainment venue

Work Environment

• The Ravinia season runs from early July through mid-September. Applicants who are available to work the entire season will receive priority in hiring.

• This position is outdoors and in all weather conditions, with prolonged periods of standing, walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying.

• Groundscrew typical hours are 7:00 AM—3:30 PM, 48 hours a week, including weekends.

• This position is on-site at Ravinia Highland Park, IL, must be able to reliably commute to Ravinia daily.
