Assignment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $72,000-$78,000 / Annually depending on relevant experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our clients growing team! In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial integrity of multiple property and home entities by ensuring accurate reporting, timely reconciliations, and smooth month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete timely bank reconciliations across multiple property and home entities, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Partner with cross-functional accounting teams to research and resolve outstanding items while supporting departmental collaboration and cross-training initiatives.
• Assist with the monthly and year-end close processes in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and intercompany transactions.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and analyze account activity to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Investigate and explain monthly variances and fluctuations in account balances.
• Support the Accounting Manager and Controller with financial reporting, analysis, and operational initiatives.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement efforts designed to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Yardi software is required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems required.
