Straight Truck Driver

JOB DETAILS: FULL TIME, MON - FRI, DAY 1500 start time, $27-$28/HR. PAID WEEKLY. MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION/LIFE/401K AFTER 90 DAYS. PTO AVAILABLEResponsibilities
- Operate straight trucks safely and efficiently to transport freight between designated local locations.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards.
- Handle local pickup and delivery (PUD) assignments; assistance from a lumper is provided when necessary.
- Utilize provided equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies for loading and unloading cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections as required.
- Follow all traffic laws and company procedures to ensure safety on the road and at delivery sites.
Qualifications
- Experience operating straight trucks is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to load and unload cargo as required
