Position Overview:
We seek a skilled and reliable Machinist to join our job shop team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery to produce precision parts according to customer specifications and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
A relocation package is available for those with the knowledge and experience to work immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operated CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).
Read and interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
Measure and inspect parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
Ensure the safe operation of machinery and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Maintain machines by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Communicate with engineers and supervisors to understand project requirements.
Follow quality control standards and make adjustments as necessary to meet tolerances.
Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Work with minimal supervision and collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Small Shop environment with a variety of work and immense. We have very few repetitive processes.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
Proven experience as a Machinist in a job shop or similar manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC programming and setup.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Familiarity with metalworking and machining materials.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
