Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Embroidery Machine Operator to join our company. In this position, you will be responsible for managing digitizing, logo approval, setting up/operating embroidery machines, cleaning, folding and boxing finished jobs.

You will be tasked with embroidery and heat transfer work that includes applying logos to apparel, caps and bags. Additionally, you will select appropriate needles, threads, and tools suitable for completing the design.

Additionally, your job will require performing regular maintenance checks on embroidery machines to ensure they work properly. Ultimately, our ideal candidate for this position should have an exceptional eye for detail, patience, technical skills, and time management.

• Manage the front-end of all embroidery jobs including outsourcing digitizing, gaining approvals, communicating with internal teams through email/phone and processing all jobs through production scheduling program.
• Gather and analyze project specifications per work order
• Set up embroidery machines with design and adjust settings using Melco Operating Software
• Select appropriate needles, threads, fabrics, and other materials to match the requested design
• Hoop the garments, caps or bags with appropriate backing to ensure a clean run of design
• Identify malfunctions or problems by observing how the machine works
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions by using instructional manuals
• Trim threads and backing of finished embroidered items, as needed.
• Provide suggestions and advice regarding the design when issues arise
• Clean and maintain embroidery machines after every use and ensure they work properly
• Train, support, and guide new staff members

Embroidery Machine Operator Requirements:

• Previous working experience in the same or similar positions
• A certified course in design or embroidery is desirable
• Ability to use and maintain embroidery machinery and tools
• Ability to read and understand manuals and follow instructions
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Great time management
• Computer skills including email and production management software. Experience with Adobe is a plus.
