Our client is hiring an Amada Press Brake Operator!
Responsibilities of the Amada Press Brake Operator
- Apply your experience setting up any type of Press Brake used in the sheet metal fabrication industry to set up Amada Press Brakes
- Set-up and operate CNC press brakes to bend and form various sizes, shapes, and types of sheet metal parts as specified by part blueprints to meet quality and production standards
- Enter data into the machine's controller if necessary to create a program to run a part including entering gage data (x, r and z coordinates, bend allowances, gage types); entering ram data (tonnage control, positioning, speeds); and entering any detailed information necessary for another operator to run the job in the future (die choices, die positions, information vital to running the job successfully)
- Inspect parts for any nonconformities including those of a cosmetic nature (i.e. scratches, dents, deformities)
- Service press brakes as required and perform preventive maintenance on equipment on a basic level
- Be willing to be trained to perform various set-up operations on laser punch presses, notchers, sheers, band saws or angle sheers as instructed
Requirements of the Amada Press Brake Operator
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of full-time experience with the setting up of Press Brakes such as Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, Cincinnati, Accurpress, Prima Power, LVD, Durma, Haco, Accurl, Coast One, RAYMAX, Salvagnini, etc. is required
- Experience is preferred
- Client is in the city of Chicago in a desirable location

Compensation for the Amada Press Brake Operator
The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $28.00 per hour to $34.00 per hour depending on experience.
