Truck Driver Recruiter (Elk Grove Village)

Merx Global, Inc. is hiring! We are growing our fleet and looking for an experienced and dynamic Driver Recruiter to join our team in Elk Grove Village! As an experienced Driver Recruiter, your key responsibility is to sell driving opportunities to prospective owner operators. Bring your engaging personality, cheerful outlook, and ability to connect with truck driver candidates to be our next rock star driver recruiter at Merx!

Key Responsibilities –

• Lead sourcing to increase pipeline of qualified driver candidates.
• Communicate to driver candidates, our hiring requirements.
• Pre-qualify driver candidates and extend conditional job offers to those qualified candidates.
• Guide driver candidate through hiring requirements to ensure driver candidate understands all documentation required to be hired as an Owner-Operator.
• Coordinate with Processing and Safety teams to arrange pre-qualifying driver interview at our Channahon terminal, including required truck inspection.
• Prospecting new leads via phone calls to increase driver candidate pool.
• Follow-up with candidates who meet our hiring requirements via phone, text, or written contact to ensure they understand our employment offer.
• Meet or exceed monthly driver hiring goals.
• Ability to build and maintain a driver candidate pipeline

Experience -

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a driver recruiter for a trucking company.
• Experience working with Tenstreet and Pipedrive
• Experience with high call volume lead screening

Knowledge and Abilities -

• Interviewing skills to include the ability to listen and analyze answers and ask appropriate questions.
• Ability to make decisions based on objective data from review of applications and phone screening of applicant.
• Pleasant but assertive-persuasive telephone personality.
• English speaking and writing skills required.
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Effective interpersonal skills – both oral and written
• Mastery of Gmail, Gchat and all Microsoft Office Products required.
• Initiative-taker, requiring little to no oversight.
• Ability to work with a team by providing support to other team members and maintaining personal productivity levels.
• Extremely flexible, can handle rapid change and responds well to pressure.
• Positive, collaborative, can-do attitude
• Ability to uphold the highest ethical standards when performing the job.
• Bi-lingual Spanish or Eastern European language a plus

Work Location –

• In office in Elk Grove Village

Physical Demands and Working Environment -

• In-office - office environment subject to frequent interruptions and changing priorities from time to time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of standard office equipment.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time

Schedule -

• Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)

Compensation -

• $60-75K base salary (based on experience)
• Uncapped Bonus potential for driver hires
