About the Role

We’re seeking a Clinical Coverage Planning Manager to support operations across 300+ treatment locations nationwide . This role operates much like a production planning manager in manufacturing —understanding required outputs, constraints, resources, and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery of clinical coverage.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify coverage needs created by PTO, vacancies, or unstaffed practices across 300+ locations.

  • Assign the appropriate coverage resource using a production-planning mindset, considering:

    • licensing constraints

    • scheduling limitations

    • therapist skill sets

    • travel requirements

  • Coordinate daily with Regional Managers to understand appointment schedules, practice needs, and first/last treatment times.

  • Manage traveling radiation therapists , including directing two Senior Radiation Therapists responsible for assessing clinical competency and readiness.

  • Partner with the internal travel agent to ensure efficient, cost-effective travel aligned to scheduling needs.

  • Drive cost savings throughout recruitment, assignment, planning, scheduling, and reservations via route optimization and reduced unnecessary travel.

  • Implement and improve planning tools , including:

    • pre-reservation checklists

    • hand-off workflows

    • scheduling templates

    • appointment-timing coordination

    • utilization dashboards

  • Identify resource needs by state , including where new licenses or hiring may be required for future demand.

  • Use data to improve utilization , forecast future staffing needs, and support long-term workforce planning.

What You Bring

  • Associates Degree required, 4 year college degree preferred.
  • 3–4+ years of experience in scheduling, operations, logistics, workforce planning, or production planning

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort with databases/scheduling systems

  • Ability to build or enhance workflow and planning tools

  • Confident, clear communicator who can align clinical, operational, and travel teams

  • A data-driven approach and the ability to make fast, accurate decisions
