Quality Supervisor

Spherion is partnering with Rockford Brake Manufacturing to find a dedicated and experienced Quality Supervisor to lead 2nd Shift operations. This role is critical to maintaining the high standards required in a demanding foundry environment. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all brake components meet strict customer and internal specifications, driving continuous improvement, and managing the 2nd shift quality team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise 2nd shift Quality Technicians and Inspectors
• Ensure all in-process and final products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements
• Manage the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process (identification, quarantine, disposition)
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) using tools like 8D
• Ensure strict adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) (IATF 16949/ISO 9001)
• Interpret blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, CMM data)
• Promote a safety-first culture and provide training on quality procedures and inspection techniques

Qualifications :

• Experience: 3+ years in Quality Control/Assurance in heavy manufacturing, with foundry/machining experience highly preferred
• Leadership: 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience required
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and core quality tools (Control Plans, FMEA, SPC)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical degree is a plus
• Must have strong problem-solving and communication skills
