Industrial Maintenance Team Lead — Utilities, Packaging & Refrigeration

What You’ll Do

• Guide, train, and energize a 2nd-shift maintenance team supporting production and facilities.
• Rapidly troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled assets.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance to cut downtime.
• Service and sustain utilities: boilers, compressed air, ammonia/freon HVAC, and refrigeration units.
• Own documentation: work orders, parts control, equipment histories.
• Enforce LOTO, confined space, and safe work practices at all times.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, and Sanitation to align maintenance with output targets.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, GMP, and OSHA standards.
• Contribute to equipment installs, line upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or food production.
• Hands-on depth across:
  • Electrical: 3-phase power, VFDs, motor controls, schematics
  • Mechanical: conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, chains, belts
  • PLC Systems: Siemens and Allen-Bradley—reading ladder logic and performing program edits
  • Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Instrumentation systems
  • Boilers, compressors, and HVAC (ammonia/freon)
• Leadership capability to coach, schedule, and develop technicians.
• Diploma/GED required; Associate/Bachelor’s in a relevant field preferred.
• Availability for 2nd shift plus weekend/overtime coverage as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

• Experience in food, beverage, or packaging environments.
• Formal vocational/technical training.
• CMMS proficiency and Microsoft Office skills.
• MIG/TIG/stick welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and industrial utilities.
