• Facility Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare contract
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3000 - $3080 per week

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology (two-year post-high school program)
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) license, or willingness to obtain
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
• Proven ability to provide age-appropriate clinical care in a hospital setting
• Ability to pass a drug screening (OSF is a drug-free campus)

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Perform cine, digital subtraction angiography, and specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique to assist physicians in cardiac diagnosis and interventional treatment
• Prepare exam areas, position patients, and operate advanced radiology equipment according to hospital protocols
• Function as a scrub tech, arranging sterile setups and passing instruments to physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor and document cardiovascular and pulmonary functions during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
• Transfer and archive images to the cardiac picture archival system, ensuring accurate patient records and compliance with healthcare standards
• Perform minor equipment repairs or promptly report malfunctions to ensure patient safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, including proper disposal of contaminated materials and restocking of clinical supplies
• Participate in department meetings, ongoing education, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Fulfill monthly on-call requirements, including weekends, after-hours, and holidays as needed
