Computed Tomography Technologist - Travel Job

Become a vital part of our team as an experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist in Downers Grove, IL. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and operate CT equipment to provide high-quality imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients. The position supports a Level 1 Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and designated stroke and ACR accreditations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT.
• BLS certification.
• IEMA certification.
• Graduate of an accredited CT program.
• Competent in routine CT procedures including chest, abdomen/pelvis, PE, brain and head.
• Experience performing portable CT exams in ED and inpatient units.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with ancillary staff and other CT technologists.
• Experience with GE CT systems preferred (Revolution, HD750, LightSpeed).
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
• Willingness to accept assignments with patient types including inpatient, outpatient, and ED.
• Minimum of 1 year CT technologist experience acceptable; first-time travelers will be considered upon review.

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT certification beyond CT where applicable.
• Previous experience in a Level 1 trauma center or primary stroke center.
• Familiarity with GE PACS workflows.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1500–0130.
• Shift pattern indicated as Evenings.
• Patient ratio: 1:1.
• Typical volumes: approximately 10–12 exams per 8-hour equivalent with staffing overlap to assist.
• Support on unit: Respiratory Therapy and Hospitalists available 24/7.
• Floating: No floating required.
• Orientation: general orientation for badge and system access provided.
