Foodservice School Server Part - Time - Rockford

Responsibilities:

• Basic food prep
• Portioning a variety of food items and preparing orders sent out to schools
• Preparing meals for service at schools
• Ensure food quality standards are followed from delivery to re-therm to presentation of the final product, in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service
• Committed to being punctual, adhering to the time and attendance policy
• Set up and break down of breakfast and lunch line layout, work at an efficient pace
• Ability to learn and execute the operation of kitchen equipment in a safe, efficient manner
• Keep students informed of the scheduled menu and new items. Get student customer feedback, (food quality, likes and dislikes) during non-service time (if allowed) and communicate information to management
• Able to identify and effectively communicate any concerns while being solution oriented with issues that may affect food safety, quality and or the student customer experience

Requirements:

• Experience with large scale food production
• Superior attention to detail required
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements
• Food sanitation required
• Positive attitude, reliable, and flexible
• Fluent in English (bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus)
• Enjoy being around children
• Strong communication skills
• Clean background check
• Basic Math/Arithmetic skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Details

• Days: Monday through Friday 10:30am - 1:30pm Part-time, Immediate Hire
