Travel RN Job Details – Springfield, IL

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000-$2050
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center, Magnet Facility
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), 3x12 or 4x12 per week (flexible scheduling)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Cerner
• Location: Springfield, IL 62781 (Central Illinois nursing jobs)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, IMC, PCU, or similar acute care setting
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Proven experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and rapid response teams
• Proficiency in Cerner charting system preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must complete compliance and orientation requirements prior to start

Travel RN Responsibilities – Cardiac Stepdown/IMC/PCU

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a busy Cardiac Stepdown/IMC/PCU unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to cardiac emergencies
• Care for post-cardiac surgery, angiogram, myocardial infarction (MI), and cardiac catheterization patients
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Manage ventilated patients, tracheostomies, and advanced respiratory support (CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC)
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and arterial line care, and blood product administration
• Support patients with neurological, orthopedic, and trauma diagnoses as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other nursing units within scope to meet facility needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control and isolation precautions
