Bookkeeper – Doyle Signs

Location: Addison, IL | 100% onsite

Pay: $20.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift

Position: Open to part time or full time

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.

This position works closely with management, ownership, and other team members and requires discretion when handling confidential company and customer information.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage accounts payable, vendor payments, and credit card transactions.

* Assist with accounts receivable, invoicing, billing, and collections.

* Prepare bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.

* Prepare and record journal entries.

* Assist with payroll processing and general ledger recording.

* Complete assigned month-end and year-end close responsibilities.

* Review financial statements and general ledger accounts for accuracy.

* Assist with sales tax and other financial reporting requirements.

* Maintain accurate financial records and generate reports as needed.

* Perform daily accounting tasks using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.

Qualifications

* Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience.

* Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including debits and credits.

* Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and month-end close procedures.

* Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or similar accounting software.

* Working knowledge of GAAP.

* Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

* Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with management and team members.

Experience with Open Systems Accounting Software, accounting system conversions, or general ledger conversions is a plus.

Additional Information

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Addison, Illinois before starting employment.
