Machine Operator
Machine Operator Position Overview:
Our operators work on a wide variety of custom fabricated pressure vessels while working within a stable, predictable work schedule
Operator Responsibilities & Duties:
Operators roll plate in a variety of sizes including 3/16" thick up to 1" thick with up to 120" diameter
Welding experience is preferred
Experience preferred includes set-up and operation of brake press
Operators with experience with 1/2" sheer a plus
Work independently based on job specifications
Willingness to attain competency (we train) in:
Plasma cutting
Attaining the ability to read blueprints
Plate Lay-out
Attaining applicable weld certifications if needed
Attaining a basic understanding of applicable ASME Codes
Ability to operate within the company’s quality control system * Work collaboratively with teammates
Perform all work safely - be Safety Focused
Operator Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous work experience with plate rolling, brake press operation, shear operation, plasma cutting, and welding experience
- Experience welding within an ASME Code environment, high desirable
- Demonstrated skills welding pressure vessels, large structural products or equivalent, highly desirable
- A track record for dependability
- Has basic skills in math and reading
- Is a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
