In the role of Senior Counsel - Sales & Distribution working in Chicago, IL, you will be part of the Americas Legal & Govt Affairs team supporting the commercial functions of the company. You will provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters related to the sale and distribution, and regulation of beer brands and the introduction of disruptive brand offerings and next-generation beverages.

This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel - Sales & Distribution and works closely with commercial teams and stakeholders across the organization.

What You'll Be Brewing

  • Provide legal support across the commercial functions of the company, including sales & distribution, marketing, regulatory and government affairs in partnership with a team of attorneys, legal analysts, and regulatory affairs specialists
  • Develop business relationships, understanding their goals and priorities, implementing strategic best practices, providing practical and actionable legal advice on relevant legal contexts, issues and risks, and agreement structures, and developing solutions to issues while effectively managing legal and practical business considerations.
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and innovations, including research into novel legal and regulatory questions.

Key Ingredients

  • You are a member in good standing of a state bar
  • You have a Law Degree
  • You have at least 5 to 8 years experience in both a law firm and in-house experience preferably with a CPG company
  • You have demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory and commercial issues related to the beverage industry or other consumer packaged goods
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
  • You have sound and proven technical legal ability combined with strong business awareness and the ability to articulate complex legal issues.

Pay And Benefits

At Molson Coors, we're committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.

Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings : $129,900.00 - $170,500.00 (posting salary range) + 20 % target short term incentive + target long term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).

The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
