The Details:

• Location: Remote, but living outside of Chicago, IL is a HUGE PLUS
• Shift: Regular Business Hours
• Pay: $160K - $170K annually (eligible for an annual bonus as well)

What You'll Do:

As Senior Director of Finance, you'll be at the heart of our financial strategy, operations, and leadership. Your key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Partnership

• Collaborate closely with the CFO and executive leadership to define and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals.
• Develop and execute financing strategies to support corporate growth, acquisitions, and capital project.
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for business units.
• Prepare and present financial reports and strategic recommendations to the board and senior leadership.
• Oversee all finance operations including accounting, FP&A, and operational finance.

Team Development

• Inspire and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
• Build strategic thinking and business acumen to finance team members.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with leaders across departments to ensure financial strategies support operational priorities.
• Represent finance in strategic planning sessions and board meetings.

Systems Optimization

• Leverage ERP and payroll systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Paylocity) to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making and financial accountability.

Financial Reporting

• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and transparency in all financial communications.
• Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• CPA highly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles such as Controller or equivalent. MSP experience is a plus!
• Deep expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting principles, and operational finance.
• Experience scaling finance functions in high-growth environments.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools (ERP, payroll, reporting platforms).
• Strong understanding of compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Living outside of Chicago, IL would be a huge plus! You could meet with the executive team easily!
