This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As a Nuclear Engineering Co-op, you will be responsible for:

• Learning and acquiring respective theory and know how, technique, methods, tools and processes in the nuclear engineering space.

• Support engineering team with a variety of hands-on projects and daily tasks associated with continuous improvements to our devices

• Development of test firmware/scripts for automated testing of assemblies.

• Development of engineering tools, databases, websites, and infrastructure needed to support the engineering environment.

• Creation of defect reports and verification of fixes.

• Calibration and field return analysis.

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with the areas and concepts below, and would like to develop your skills within Healthineers:

• You have completed courses in core nuclear engineering concepts

• You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

• You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardware solutions

• Willingness to learn new tools and skills related to nuclear design, PCB development, FPGA programming and other design methods

Required skills and education to have for the success of this role:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program, majoring in Nuclear Engineering (rising senior preferred)

• Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)

• Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university

The pay range for this position is $24-$40 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on education, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers interns paid time off.
