Job Overview
The Business Development Associate will play a critical role in identifying and initiating conversations with potential partners for TerraCycle’s Commercial Recycling division. This entry-level position is ideal for a motivated individual eager to gain experience in sales, lead generation, and business outreach. The primary focus of this role is front-end sales activities, including researching prospects, cold outreach, and pipeline development to support the growth of TerraCycle’s recycling solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct prospect research and identify key decision-makers across target industries.
- Perform high-volume outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage potential clients.
- Maintain and update lead databases, ensuring accurate tracking of outreach efforts.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine potential business opportunities.
- Schedule introductory meetings and hand off qualified leads to senior team members.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop outreach strategies and improve engagement.
- Assist in preparing client presentations and sales materials.
- Track and report outreach metrics to measure effectiveness and optimize approaches.
Desired Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills for identifying potential clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for sustainability and TerraCycle’s mission.
