Project Manager – Construction
Northern Illinois
Up to $130k DOE + Benefits
A well-established General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to support a strong pipeline of work across Northern Illinois. This role will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with field teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from preconstruction through completion
- Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with local and state regulations
- Track project progress, milestones, and financial performance
- Maintain high standards of safety and quality
- Lead project closeout and handover processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in construction project management
- Background in commercial or similar project types preferred
- Strong understanding of construction processes and compliance
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple workstreams
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
