As a Business Controls Intern, you will assist in evaluating, monitoring, and enhancing our internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Controls Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business controls and contribute to the effectiveness of our organizational processes. The internship dates are June 1, 2026 to July 31 2026.
This internship is a fully remote, full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. Candidates must be available during core business hours for the entire 9-week duration of the program (8:30 pm EST to 5 pm EST). Please note that all work must be performed within the United States. Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.
What You'll Do

Assist in the evaluation and documentation of business processes and internal controls

Support the identification and analysis of control weaknesses and recommend improvements

Participate in audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of controls

Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with established procedures and policies

Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations

Assist in the development and implementation of new control frameworks

Contribute to special projects aimed at improving overall business performance
What You'll Need
Required

Current Junior pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills

Previous internship or work experience in business controls, audit, or related areas

Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques

Understanding of risk management and compliance principles

The pay rate for this position is $17 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
