Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Syracuse, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Compensation

• Travel Rate: Up to $3,101.50 per week (based on experience)

• Local Rate: Up to $2,700 per week (based on experience)

Shift & Schedule

• Day Shift

• 5 shifts per week

• 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

• 40 hours per week

• Every third weekend required

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will support a variety of surgical procedures while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for surgery

• Assist the surgical team during various procedures

• Maintain sterile techniques and follow infection control protocols

• Monitor patients and respond to changes during procedures

• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical standards and policies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience

• Experience in acute care hospital settings

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in trauma center hospitals

• Experience assisting in general, orthopedic, neuro, or robotic surgeries

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
