Project Manager - Digital Lab Email Specialist

We are seeking a Digital Lab Email Specialist to support marketing programs across the patient journey. This role focuses on building, routing, testing, and deploying marketing emails within a highly regulated, FDA-compliant environment. The position involves applying existing creative assets to ensure emails are approved, accurate, and production-ready. It is a hands-on execution role ideal for someone who can quickly learn platforms, manage details, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and external agencies.
Responsibilities

Build and author marketing emails using NAC/Knak by assembling modular components and applying approved creative assets.

Route email builds through the Material Review/FDA approval process, serving as project originator when needed.

Perform live and static proofing and quality checks using Workfront and other review tools.

Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and external creative agencies.

Test email builds thoroughly prior to deployment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper rendering.

Maintain and manage email assets, templates, and modules.

Escalate platform or build issues to the Email Product Owner.

Support multiple brands and therapeutic areas within Patient Services.
Essential Skills
-
3-5 years of experience in email marketing execution including building, QA, routing, and deployment.

Experience with no-code or low-code email platforms such as Knak or NAC.

Strong attention to detail and comfort working in highly regulated environments.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and quickly learn new tools/processes.

Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.

Experience working with external creative agencies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (not required to code).

Experience within pharma, healthcare, or another regulated industry.

Familiarity with Workfront, email proofing tools, or material review workflows.

Ability to quickly pick up new skills and tools, team-oriented, agile, with strong interpersonal tact and emotional intelligence.
Work Environment
The work model is hybrid with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. The role is execution-focused, emphasizing email building, routing, and testing within a highly regulated, FDA-compliant environment. The position involves applying creative designs and preparing emails for FDA approval, with no original email design concepting or significant coding required.

This is a Contract position based out of Mettawa, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $45.00/hr.
