ASSOCIATE GRANT ANALYST (COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE)

Perform a variety of basic, routine tasks to administer and manage Federal, State, and Local grants and appropriations. Identify areas of critical need within the Bureau/Department. Assist with grant acquisition efforts. Assist in researching and monitoring available funding sources, both private and public, for future grant proposal opportunities. Write and apply for available grants. Oversee budgeting and operations of all grants obtained, which includes monitoring performance and achievement of objectives and working with evaluators to document program outcomes. Escalate to others for complex situations, resolution, and policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and private foundation grant sources. Ability to effectively procure grants for various uses within the County criminal and civil justice systems.
  • Skill in grant writing and the ability to analyze and articulate the impact of grant dollars within the County.
  • Ability to convey the needs of the County justice system, the purpose of specific grant programs, public policy issues, and the anticipated outcomes of funded programs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, budget analysis procedures, and procedural aspects of grant writing, application submission, program implementation, management, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ability to organize, handle, and coordinate multiple complex projects and meet deadlines.
  • Skill in executing basic data collection, synthesis, analysis, reporting, and development of recommendations to support functional area(s), where analysis follows standard practices.
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and collaborate with team members to drive accuracy and precision in analysis.
  • Knowledge of standard analytical practices to perform basic studies and continually adopt new methods.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher or

OR

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree and Two (2) years of budget, finance, or directly related experience or

OR

  • Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate and Four (4) years of budget, finance, or directly related experience is required .

Preferred Qualification

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Physical Requirements:


Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Salary Range: $65,217 - $71,990
