Design Engineer

Overview

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Corrugated / Fiber Packaging Design Engineer to join a globally recognized leader in packaging innovation. You will help spearhead a new, centrally focused design team with clear progression opportunities into senior and management roles. This is a fast-paced and technically challenging design position offering specialist training to become a subject-matter expert, while working on high-profile projects with international customers. The role includes full ownership of the design process from CAD development to prototype and sign-off, ensuring all specifications and KPIs are met.

Responsibilities

• Fully Remote (occasional international travel, including California)
• Design corrugated packaging solutions from concept through to prototype and approval
• Collaborate with customers to ensure performance, cost, and sustainability goals are achieved
• Lead the design process, including CAD development, prototyping, testing, and sign-off
• Optimize designs for cost, protection, and sustainability
• Participate in onboarding with one-to-one training with an industry expert
• Travel to California to collaborate with design colleagues and leadership as part of onboarding

Qualifications

• Experienced Corrugated / Fiber Packaging Design Engineer
• Background in packaging, pulp, paper, or materials engineering
• Proficient with 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, ArtiosCAD, IronCAD, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of corrugated board grades, flute profiles, and prototyping
• Aspiring professional seeking career progression into senior or leadership roles

Compensation

• Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
• Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 + Progression to Management + Specialist Training + Full Medical, Dental, Life Insurance + 3 Weeks’ Vacation + Excellent Benefits
