Lab Assistant
Assist Nursing faculty with preparation of skills lab and simulation instruction. Collaborate with faculty to identify need for instructional supplies and place orders for these supplies with approved vendors. Maintain overall lab safety, organization, and cleanliness.
* Prepare skill lab and/or simulation instruction with appropriate supplies and/or equipment as instructed by Nursing faculty
* Tear down skills lab and/or simulation learning environment at the conclusion of the teaching experience
* Order instructional supplies as needed
* Maintain a safe, organized, clean nursing lab
* Other related duties as assigned
Education: Level I: A Minimum of an AS degree or certificate in science related field from an accredited college or university. Preference will be given to candidates with lab or healthcare experience. See part-time rates and stipends sheet.r.
Experience: Preference given to candidates with healthcare background or those pursuing a healthcare career.
Knowledge: Blood borne pathogen knowledge, basic first aid
Skills Familiarity with supplies and equipment commonly used in Nursing skills lab or simulation.
Personal: Versatility, positive attitude, enthusiasm
Physical: Ability to perform general responsibilities in the skills lab or simulation setting
