Water Park Staff-Rice - Seasonal

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for enforcing rules and regulations and ensuring the safety of patrons.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum of fifteen (15) years of age.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Enforce all rules and regulations appropriate to the aquatic facility.
2. Report broken equipment to managers.
3. Maintain a high level of readiness and be prepared to assist with an emergency.
4. Knowledge of functions and operations of all safety, rescue, and first aid equipment.
5. Responsible for safety of patrons on the deck and sand areas.
6. Must be able to assist patrons on slides and control, communication with Bridge.
7. Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
8. Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
9. Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
10. Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC

This position must have adult CPR certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position must be able to occasionally move items such as assisting with participant resuce weighing up to 50 lbs. This position may be required to do a considerable amount of moving, and rarely stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, and reach.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This position must be able to be exposed to all extreme summer weather conditions and varying degrees of temperature and light. This position will also be exposed to cleaning chemicals.

SALARY

Starting at $13.00 per hour

SALARY RANGE (UNDER AGE 18)

Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum

$13.00 - $14.00 - $15.00

SALARY RANGE (AGE 18+)

Minimum Midpoint Maximum

$15.00 $18.75 $22.50
