Remit Specialist - Monthly Bonus Eligible
- Review remittance advices (ERAs/EOBs) to identify payment, denial, and adjustment information.
- Apply appropriate write-offs, contractual adjustments, and denials based on payor policies.
- Accurately note account activity in the system, clearly documenting reasons for adjustments or non-payment.
- Identify and escalate trends in denials or payment discrepancies to leadership.
- Collaborate with follow-up and collections teams to ensure timely resolution of remaining account balances.
- Maintain compliance with payer contracts, billing guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.
- Education & Licensure: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in revenue cycle, medical billing, or remittance processing, preferably in a behavioral health or hospital setting.
- Additional Skill Requirements: Solid understanding of remittance formats, contractual adjustments, and denial reason codes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
