Business Development Representative

The salary range for this full-time position offers a base $55 - 60K depending on skills and experience, with a Quarterly bonus with OTC up to $80k

The role of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) is to drive ePac’s growth by acquiring new customers and expanding our market presence. This inside sales role will focus on lead generation, qualification, and conversion, working closely with our existing sales team to achieve revenue targets focused on the small sized customer segments throughout the United States. This role is crucial in ensuring that ePac continues to acquire new customers to expand its US market share.
The BDRs will be required to take part in an extensive training program focused on industry knowledge, understanding of how to sell flexible packaging, and ultimately providing solutions for our customers’ problems.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Lead Generation & Cultivation:
- Manage and follow up on leads provided by the company.
- Engage in outbound calling to initiate contact with prospects
- Independently identify and generate new leads through research, networking, and outbound calls/emails.
- Qualify leads and set up meetings with potential customers.
Customer Acquisition:
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers.
- Qualify leads and schedule appointments for sales team members.
- Understand customer needs and present appropriate flexible packaging solutions.
- Close sales and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and acquisition targets.
Sales Process Execution:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and team members to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
- Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams based on customer interactions and market insights.
Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Provide ongoing support to clients to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.
- Represent the ePac brand in a positive manner.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication skills: Must have ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, communicate sales targets and objectives, and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills : Must possess the ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Ability to identify and address potential issues or challenges that may arise in the sales process. A proactive approach to problem solving, aiming to prevent issues rather than simply cure problems after they occur is a must. In addition - a disciplined, structured approach to work, demonstrating organizational skills in planning, documenting, and keeping to agreed schedules, combined with the ability to respond to evolving objectives and work in an agile delivery environment is necessary for success.
- Customer relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is vital for success. This involves understanding customer needs, providing exceptional customer service, and developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Technology proficiency: Must be proficient in using software systems and other tools to streamline sales processes, track performance, and analyze data.
- Adaptability and resilience: Must be able to adapt to changing market conditions, overcome obstacles, and remain resilient in the face of setbacks
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills are a must .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
