Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:

• Design, develop and implement enterprise software in a variety of different programming languages;
• Write software testing automation;
• Utilize cloud-based products in software development;
• Design architecture of applications;
• Participate in Tech Leveling meetings with other Architects and Senior Developers;
• Work on the Agile Operating Model and be well versed in agile methodologies including scrum ceremonies and Test driven development practices.
• Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. 50% remote work permitted.

What Skills You Need

• 5 years of experience in developing RESTful APIs in Java using the Spring Boot framework in addition to implementing unit tests via Junit
• 5 years of experience in developing Applications using Spring, JMS and Hibernate/JPA technologies
• 4 years of experience in developing, deploying, and supporting applications on Cloud Platform
• 4 years of experience work on the Agile Operating Model and be well versed in agile methodologies including scrum ceremonies and Test-Driven Development practices
• 4 years of experience on writing SQL, PLSQL queries (PostgreSQL)

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 5 years related experience.
