Position Overview
The Chicago Bulls are seeking a highly motivated, organized and dedicated individual to become a full-time Account Executive, Group Sales. Account Executives will have the ability to sell full menu and will have additional season ticket related sales goals. Most attention and efforts will be placed on new business development through face-to-face meetings virtually, at the United Center and out of office. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to effectively connect with a wide range of clientele.
Responsibilities
As an Account Executive, a large part of your success will come by applying sales and service strategies, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and database management. In this role, you will sell group tickets and hospitality ticket packages, as well as daily suite rentals to both corporations and the general public. Additionally, it will be a priority to provide outstanding customer service to our dedicated and committed fans.
More Specifically, You Are Responsible For The Following
- Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales goals.
- The candidate will be accountable for weekly and monthly metrics (calls, touchpoints and appointments).
- We are looking for candidates that possess an optimistic team-first demeanor, as well as the driven desire to be the best.
- Energetically build new relationships by self-prospecting, cold calling and effective campaign management.
- Generate “face-to-face” meetings to create new opportunities with top area businesses, schools, religious organizations, youth basketball organizations, etc.
- Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities.
- Game day activities include entertaining new business prospects and assisting with any sales related responsibilities (such as our Fan Experience Packages).
- Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing positive relationships with all team members.
- Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and game-day duties.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of proven sales experience regardless of previous industry.
- Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to learn and master new software programs including the CRM and ticketing systems.
- Ability to navigate the arena in order to visit clients during home games and escort potential customers on meetings, showing seating options and facilities on both gamedays and non-gamedays.
- We offer a hybrid schedule offering workplace flexibility. Full-time remote work is not an option for this role and interested applicants should be currently located in or prepared to move to the Chicagoland area.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $40,000 - $45,000 annually + structured bonus and is commission eligible. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
