Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse
- Role & Unit: Â Registered Nurse providing direct care for Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) patients.
- Licensure: Â Must hold an active Registered Nurse credential from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Certification: Â Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted).
- Experience: Â 12 years of cumulative job-specific nursing experience is required. Previous experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or IR is strongly preferred.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor comprehensive patient care plans.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing orders while monitoring and documenting patient conditions.
- Assess and coordinate complex discharge planning needs.
- Schedule & On-Call Requirements:
- Coverage includes every 3rd weekend.
- Must complete at least 16 on-call shifts per 6-week period for OR/IR support.
