Oncology Clinical Research Manager (Peoria)
Overview
Exciting opportunity to lead a Clinical Research team on a Phase I Clinical Oncology trials. This role offers the chance to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on groundbreaking research aimed at advancing cancer detection and curability technologies. Position Summary
Manages the conduct, development, and promotion of clinical research at a major medical center. Works in close collaboration with the Ministry Research Administration and will be expected to interact with leadership, medical staff, and other clinical providers to identify opportunities for clinical research, program grants, and clinical drug trials. Responsible for assuring compliance, prioritizing, and providing oversight to clinical research activities. Serves as a liaison to industry partners, community healthcare providers, and other academic institutions.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
Experience
- 5+ years of direct clinical research experience
- 3+ years of progressively responsible work experience in a clinical/healthcare setting
- Experience with clinical trial and research design methodologies
- Management and oversight of sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Oncology clinical trial experience
- Current Research Certification (ACRP, SOCRA, HCCA, CIP, etc.)
- RN licensure or 5+ years of clinical experience
- 2+ years of leadership/direct supervision/management experience
- Experience working with industry sponsors and outside agencies
- Experience in research coding, billing/finance, vendor relations, EPIC, CTMS, hospital administration, project management, policy creation, and strategic development
- Knowledge of financial regulations (FDA, OHRP, ORI, DHHS, NIH, CMS), Medicare billing rules, and Medicare Clinical Trial Policy
