Group Platform Director - Rooms Technology Products (Hybrid opportunity)

Hyatt is currently seeking to add a Group Platform Director to lead global Rooms Technology Products. This role combines strategic vision with operational execution and requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners. The Group Platform Director will define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for guest-facing platforms, delivering innovative solutions that enhance guest engagement, optimize service operations, and strengthen owner ROI across 1,400+ properties worldwide.
This role will translate enterprise strategy into an actionable product portfolio, prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The position oversees end-to-end delivery of multi-brand, enterprise-scale technology programs, ensuring outcomes are consistently on-time, on-budget, and in-scope.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing strategic vendor partnerships, negotiating MSAs and SLAs to secure performance and alignment with business objectives. They will advance platform resilience by partnering with vendors and technology teams to strengthen defect management, escalation processes, and proactive operational monitoring. Their goal will be to ensure Rooms Technology Platforms consistently deliver a high-quality, stable, and innovative experience across the enterprise.
This role will report directly to the Vice President – Global Guest Technology Products and will oversee the development, prioritization, execution, and delivery of Rooms Technology Products by working with multiple internal stakeholders across Global Guest Technology, Operations, Cyber Security, and Field Technology Services.

The Role
The Rooms Technology Products leader provides enterprise-wide strategic direction and governance for guest-facing and operational technology platforms across global hotel properties. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert and corporate owner for rooms-related technology systems, ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with Hyatt’s brand, operational, and owner objectives. The role partners closely with IT, Operations, Cybersecurity, and external vendors to optimize platform performance, drive innovation, and deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiences across managed and franchise environments worldwide.
Strategic Responsibilities
Define and own the global strategy, governance, and roadmap for Rooms Technology Products aligned with enterprise and brand objectives.
Ensure guest-facing platforms meet enterprise technical standards, security requirements, and industry best practices.
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance guest engagement, operational efficiency, and owner value.
Provide architectural and integration leadership to ensure platform resilience, scalability, and performance.
Establish and manage strategic vendor partnerships, serving as the primary corporate contact for Rooms Technology Products.
Core Execution & Operational Tasks
Act as subject matter expert and systems owner for rooms technology platforms, including guest messaging, service optimization, and authorization tools.
Collaborate with IT, Operations, and vendors to maintain platform availability, compliance, and global consistency.
Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex platform issues to improve reliability and performance.
Define, maintain, and enforce global technical standards, including audits, assessments, and exception management.
Lead enterprise RFPs and vendor agreements, negotiating MSAs and SLAs to ensure performance, security, and value.
