The JBS Pork team is seeking a Mid Shift NURSE - LPN/LVN/RN/CMA.

Mid Shift position for 1st and 2nd Shifts; 8-hour shifts; Rotating weekends

Hours would be 11a-7:30p or 10a to 6:30p; 12p to 8:30p (Flexibility Needed)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide First Aid treatment to injured employees from various parts of the facility
  • Must be able to carry, lift and maneuver first aid response bag (weighting between 30-40 lbs.), back board, stretcher, AED, wheelchair and any other medical necessities when responding to an accident.
  • Administer, document and track vaccinations (including-Tetanus, Hepatitis B)
  • Perform Drug and Alcohol screening for Powered Industrial Truck operators, and as required
  • Conduct annual hearing testing for facility employees
  • Assist in conducting Daily restrictive duty checks
  • Must be able to document and maintain nursing documentation after each employee visit or communication
  • Must maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Deliver courteous and professional communications at all times
  • Notify the safety department any time there is a serious accident
  • Must be flexible with work schedule
  • And any other duties as reasonably associated with the above duties as assigned

Relationships:

  • Internal: Daily communication with employees.
  • External: May occasionally, communicate with the medical community, Third Party Administrators, etc.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office software (word, PowerPoint, excel) skills.
  • Internal applicants must have less than 2 attendance points and no written warnings or suspensions in the last calendar year.
  • Good people skills
  • Self-motivated and work well without direct supervision
  • Organized
  • Ability to follow instructions

Education, Experience, Qualifications:

  • High School Degree/GED equivalency required
  • RN/LPN license
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Climbing stairs
  • Frequent visits to production areas, environment consists of: Hot, Cold, Smells, PPE Required.
  • Slippery floors, extreme temperature and loud noises.
