Billing Analyst

Position Summary
USA Clinics Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across our growing network of clinics. In this critical role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial and operational data related to the full revenue cycle management, identifying trends, improving workflows, and delivering actionable insights to optimize reimbursement and reduce denials. Your work will directly support the efficiency, accuracy, and financial health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Revenue Cycle Data: Collect, clean, and interpret data related to billing, coding, claims, collections, and reimbursements to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
- Generate Operational Reports: Develop and maintain recurring dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as denial rates, days in A/R, and cash collections.
- Identify Trends and Issues: Use data to detect bottlenecks, claim denials, underpayments, and revenue leakage, and recommend corrective actions to leadership.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with billing, coding, finance, and operations teams to understand workflows and ensure data accuracy and alignment with revenue goals.
- Support Decision-Making: Present data findings and strategic insights to RCM leadership to drive informed business decisions and performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist in System Optimization: Analyze the performance of billing and practice management systems and contribute to system enhancements or process automation efforts.
- Develop Forecast Models: Create predictive models to forecast cash flow, revenue trends, and the financial impact of payer policy changes or workflow adjustments.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data sources and provide QA checks on data outputs.
- Monitor Compliance Metrics: Track metrics related to payer compliance, coding accuracy, and audit readiness to support regulatory adherence.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to special reporting and analysis requests from leadership, providing deep dives into specific revenue cycle areas as needed.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field required.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within healthcare revenue cycle management or medical billing environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare payers, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and the billing lifecycle is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query), SQL, and business intelligence platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working with EMR/EHR and practice management systems (e.g., Athena, Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar).
- Knowledge of revenue cycle KPIs including A/R days, denial rates, collection ratios, and charge lag.
Analytical & Communication Skills:
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings clearly.
- Ability to communicate technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a meaningful and actionable way.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
